What we do
anYél: planting
musical seeds
In order to make this program
accessible and free to thousands of San Miguel's children, teachers
must first be recruited and trained. Teacher training classes
are free to members of the community who meet our basic requirements.
Upon completing their studies, the teachers will receive a salary
to teach the anYél program to small classes in public preschools, kindergartens, orphanages and rehabilitation programs for physically challenged children. |
| Teachers are also trained to detect early signs of malnutrition,
sight/hearing loss, lack of normal coordination, and other conditions
that prevent children from learning—yet another function
of the anYél programs that have far-reaching benefits
to the community. |
